The Tomb of the Unknown French Soldier is located under the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
It contains the remains of a French Soldier whose identity is unknown. As in other countries, the Unknown Soldier symbolises the sacrifice of a generation during the First World War. The Unknown French Soldier is buried on Armistice Day 11 November 1920. |
